“If we leave everything open and spew out word upon word in an exposed frothing forum of dribble and let the audience wander as migrants towards concretions of meaning that form the hubs of our collectivity perhaps then and only then they might think a thought that makes no sense at ALL. Only then does the dynamis insinuate itself as real power.”

The Notes of F. W., Venice, 2001

Join us at Love Letters To A Surrogate, a one-day event of seventeen ongoing simultaneous performances occuring in real time distributed across and through the institutional and spatial footprint of the Torrance Art Museum. Instead of one performance following another, on a predetermined single stage, multiple settings and spaces will provide the opportunity for multiple and simultaneous engagements with a wandering and nomadic audience.
